Accomplishments

May 2018 

Published a bride paper doll book available at Amazon. The paper doll book comes with six gowns and two paper dolls: one with a hair wreath and one without.

 

April 2018 

  • Published the April 2018 (13th) issue of Treasures paper doll magazine featuring the Bessie Coleman Paper Doll. The amazing Bessie Coleman was the first U.S. female pilot of African and Native American descent as well as the first aviator of that heritage to hold an international pilot's license in the U.S.  
  • Donated three Delta Soror paper doll books to a Delta Sigma Theta Sacramento Chapter Sorority fundraiser. The paper dolls were part of gift baskets.
  • Published the May 2018 (14th) issue of Treasures paper doll magazine.
  • Published the Treasures 2018 First Quarter Paper Doll Magazine Collection: January-February-March.

March 2018 

Published the March 2018 (12th) issue of Treasures paper doll magazine featuring the Jovita Idár Paper Doll.  Jovita Idár was an activist for children and for Mexican-Americans who faced racism and threats to their property. In addition to being an activist, Jovita Idár was a teacher, journalist, editor and she performed nursing duties during the Mexican Revolution in 1913.   


February 2018 

  • Published the February 2018 (11th) issue of Treasures paper doll magazine featuring the Elizabeth Key Grinstead Paper Doll.
  • February 18, 2018: Vendor at the Crocker Black History Month Celebration at the Crocker Museum in Sacramento, CA. 
  • February 25, 2018: Vendor at the Sojourner Truth Museum's Celebration of Black History Month located in Sacramento, CA.

November 2017 

Published the November 2017 (eighth) issue of Treasures paper doll magazine featuring a paper doll of Shirley Chisholm.


October 2017 

Published the October 2017 (seventh) issue of Treasures paper doll magazine featuring LVK Paper Dolls's Halle Halloween Paper Doll. In addition to the paper doll, the magazine includes four miniature Halle paper dolls for decorations and decoration ideas.    


September 2017 

  • Sold Matilda Joslyn Gage paper doll books and planning calendars to the Matilda Joslyn Gage Foundation Gift Shop in NY. 
  • Published the September 2017 (sixth) issue of Treasures paper doll magazine featuring Harriet Tubman and Sophie Scholl.  
  • Released two new paper dolls: Bessie Coleman and Sophie Scholl. Paper dolls are available on Amazon and Etsy. 
  • Introduced blank greeting cards featuring historical women paper dolls.   

August 2017 

Published the August 2017 (fifth) issue of Treasures paper doll magazine, which includes Sojourner Truth and Susan B. Anthony Paper Dolls and information on the 97th anniversary of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.   


July 2017 

Published the July 2017 (fourth) issue of Treasures paper doll magazine, which includes four Fourth of July paper dolls and some interesting facts about Independence Day.   


June 2017 

  • Published the June 2017 (third) issue of Treasures paper doll magazine. In honor of the celebration of Juneteenth (June 19, 1865) and Anne Frank's birthday (June 12, 1929), this issue includes the Georgia Mae Juneteenth Paper Doll and Anne Frank Paper Doll. 
  • Published the second edition of the Harriet Tubman/Sojourner Truth paper doll book on Amazon. This new book has one new dress for Harriet Tubman and four new dresses for Sojourner Truth. The dresses are based on dresses that both women wore in their photographs.   

May 2017 

  • Published the May 2017 (second) issue of Treasures paper doll magazine, which includes four sets of mother-daughter paper dolls in honor of Mother's Day. 
  • Published four diverse mother-daughter paper doll sets on Etsy.

April 2017 

Debut of Treasures: A publication dedicated to two dimensional gems. I created the magazine as a means to share my paper dolls, particularly the historical paper dolls, and to provide samples to download for personal use only. The April 2017 issue is located here on issuu.com


March 2017 

Published the Historical Women Paper Doll 13-Month Planner. Like the 2017 Historical Women Paper Doll Monthly Planner, this planner includes paper dolls of Harriet Tubman, Clara Barton, Frida Kahlo, and Matilda Joslyn Gage. The difference is that this calendar allows the user to write in the months and number the days.   


December 29, 2016 

Published the 2017 Historical Women Paper Doll Monthly Planner on Amazon. Planner includes four paper dolls: Harriet Tubman, Clara Barton, Frida Kahlo, and Matilda Joslyn Gage. A brief biography of each doll is provided as well as two dresses each.   


July 27, 2016 

Presenter at the Elk Grove Artists. Presentation on the history of paper dolls followed by an exercise.   


June 2016 

  • Vendor at the Sacramento Black Book Fair.   
  • Publication of the Dido Elizabeth Belle paper doll.   

April 2016 

Commissioned by the Eugene Field House Museum in St. Louis, MO to create the Julia Comstock Field paper doll.
